Kiteland Resort is a new concept for kiteboarding in the US and Canada. It was conceived by US Kiteboarder Association (USKA) and three popular South Padre Island hotels as a way to promote SPI kiteboarding and USKA’s national Learn to Kite initiative during SPI’s slow season when hotels traditionally have occupancy rates of around 50%.
- For existing kiteboarders, Kiteland Resort means you can extend your summer kiting season in windy sub-tropical South Texas and get super-low room rates at these great SPI hotels located close to the popular kiteboarding areas at the North end of the island:
- For new kiteboarders, Kiteland is a kiteboarding school like no other that provides high quality kiteboarding lessons to guests at these three hotels for just $59 a day (this rate is limited to 4 students per day).
Kiteland Resort only operates during SPI’s 4 month fall/early winter wind season from October 1 to February 1 ($59 a day kiteboarding lessons are only available for 3 months: Oct 1 – Dec 31).
Kiteland partners with the US Kiteboarder Association to offer kiteboarders the lowest room rates you will ever find at these three hotels. Just because our kite school rates are cheap doesn’t mean the quality of our instruction is cheap. Kiteland kiteboarding school instructors are experienced instructors who are IKO or PASA certified and insured. We use Yamaha WaveRunner personal watercraft with radio helmets and high quality kiteboarding gear.
To get the special room rates and the $59 a day kiteboarding lessons you must be a USKA member (a $49 annual fee).
